Why we built TrueRate PH

When you send money to the Philippines, a surprising share of it can quietly slip away — not to scams, but to exchange-rate markups and fees most people never see. TrueRate PH exists to make that money visible.

The problem

Every provider quotes a different exchange rate and a different fee. Some hide a poor rate behind a “no fee” banner. Others advertise a flashy first-transfer promo, then switch to a worse everyday rate once you're in. Comparing them properly is almost impossible by hand — so most people pick a familiar name and hope for the best. On a single transfer, the gap between the best and worst option can be hundreds of pesos. Over a year of sending, it adds up to thousands.

What we do

We show the one number that actually matters: how many pesos your family receives after the rate and the fee. We line the major providers up side by side and rank them by what lands in your family's pocket — not by whoever advertises the loudest.

How we keep it honest

How we stay free

TrueRate PH is free, with no sign-up. If you choose a provider and sign up through our link, we may earn a small commission — at no extra cost to you. It never changes the rates we show or how we rank them. If the best deal for your family comes from a provider we earn nothing from, that's still the one you'll see at #1.

Who it's for

For the parent sending tuition, the child supporting aging parents, the worker whose paycheck stretches across an ocean — every peso matters. That's who we built this for.
